Dave & Desiree from the Chicago Dueling Pianos provided the entertainment for the evening.  The Chicago Dueling Pianos are a world-class piano duo that offers not only great music you can dance and sing along to, such as Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman, Billy Joel's Piano Man among other songs but also a bit of comedy and plenty of unforgettable audience interaction.  Their show is something you have to enjoy, it's like a live jukebox but better and with a sense of humor.

Who said this?
The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases -
If it moves, tax it.
If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
                                         - President Ronald Reagan '1986

I first read the quote in a Reagan Calendar mailed to me by the Young America's Republicans from the Reagan Ranch in Rancho del Cielo in Santa Barbara, California.

Today, April 15, is the deadline for filing taxes.  I knew of a friend who does it by extending and filing later.  I'm wondering how Obama, Biden and their cabinet of tax cheats and fellow Democrats (Rangel) in Congress would do it this time?  I was so surprised and disgusted before when I heard Obama and Biden, with their six-figure salaries, just contributed more than $300.00 for charities in their tax deductions.  How stingy and cheapo is that?  They should be ashamed of themselves!  My dear family and friends. that's where the greed is.  They keep talking of greed amongst us and the capitalists on Wall Street and they keep talking on spreading the wealth through high, obscene taxation and neo-socialism.

Speaking of sweet charity, the following story is just so inspirational --
(excuse me for plagiarizing, from an article by Dov Greenberg)
There is a lovely story about the great Victorian Anglo-Jew, Sir Moses Montefiore.  Montifiore was one of the outstanding figures of the nineteenth century.  A close friend of Queen Victoria and knighted by her, he became the first Jew to attain high office in the City of London.  His philanthropy extended to both Jews and non-Jews, and on his one-hundredth birthday, The London Times devoted editorials to his praise.  "He had shown," said the Times, "that fervent Judaism and patriotic citizenship are absolutely consistent with one another."
One reflection was particularly moving: Someone once asked him, "Sir Moses, what are you worth?" Moses thought for a while and named a figure.  "But surely," said his questioner, "your wealth must be much more than that? With a smile, Sir Moses replied, "You did not ask me how much I own.  You asked me how much I am worth.  So I calculated how much I have given to charity this year."
"You see," he said, "we are worth what we are willing to share with others."

  1. WHAT I REALLY, REALLY LIKE ABOUT AGT THE SAFE MONEY PEOPLE IS THE PERSONAL TOUCH AND THANK YOU TO THEIR CLIENTS. THE ANNUAL CLIENT APPRECIATION BANQUET IS A BIG TESTIMONY THAT THEY CARE AND GIVE BACK PERSONALLY, BESIDE PRESERVING THE CLIENT'S MONEY. I NEVER HEARD OF BIG INVESTMENT COMPANY INVITING THEIR CLIENTS (EXCEPT TO GIVE THEM MONEY) TO A BANQUET.
