 South Central Association for Clinical Microbiology
(www.scacm.org) will
host their spring meeting in
Indianapolis, Indiana on March 16 - 18,
2006.  Five
workshops will be presented on Thursday, March 16.
The
General Program, on Friday, March 17 (full day) and
Saturday, March 18
(half-day), consists of six
presentations and seven Interest Group
sessions.  Each
year, in memory of SCACM's founder, Mickey King,
we
present the Mickey King Memorial lecture. This year,
Jo Anne
Maffei,
M.D., will speak on "Preparing for Disaster -
> Lessons from Hurricane
Katrina".

The meeting will also include poster sessions and over
40
exhibitors
for attendees to learn about the latest
products,
services
and equipment.  Hors d'oeuvres will be served at
the
Exhibits Grand
Opening on Thursday night, lunch for
pre-registered
attendees on
Friday, and a very special event for Friday
evening
will be revealed at the luncheon.
