You should not be a homeowner if you don't have extra money in the bank and you don't have a stable job. Do not believe in the Obama stimulus and low bank mortgages (2.45% - 3.45%) are still costly. Think about these:
If you have a family, there are other things to pay - education, gas, and food!
If you are rich, by all means buy a house!

- You have to pay high property taxes on your home twice a year
- You have to pay utilities - gas, electricity, etc.
- You have to pay household maintenance and upkeep - new roof, plumbing, new furnace, etc.
- You have to pay weekly landscaping and mowing
- You have to pay unexpected problems
If you have a family, there are other things to pay - education, gas, and food!
If you are rich, by all means buy a house!
