I wonder if Gore's high-energy consuming mansion is now eco-friendly and if he's now gallivanting around the world in a solar plane.

Thanks so much for your gracious invitation.
Someday, someday.
Someday, someday.
Somehow I got to eat the "European" persimmons
(you can eat them unripe but still sweet and good), bought right here
in my neighborhood international fresh store.

Come to California and visit our backyard in fall. We have persimons,
guavas, peaches, nectarines and pears. Also, spring we plant eggplants,
bittermelons, peppers, okra and green beans. Maybe, this summer we try also
tomatoes, squash and sweet potato.

The "snowbird" flew to the tip of Texas for the winter

Most definitely, I'm more of a nature lover than a wacko environmentalist. I don't buy the global-warming crap! Of course, there are climate changes. We all know a change in season is the definition of climate change. To everything there's a season under heaven. In the mid-1980s, I visited the best suburban library in Illinois - the Skokie Public Library. They had the most beautiful, the most complete, the most informative recycling exhibits. Well, here it is....more than 20 years later, spearheaded by Al 'Green" Gore and his Hollywood companeros, we are being reminded again to take care of our world - BLAMING AND DAMNING AMERICA AS THE NUMBER ONE CARBON POLLUTER! To quote Geraldo Rivera, "we are pigs for using too much gas." Speak for yourself, you swine. Oh, wow. I was watching The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet on FOX32 Chicago and they have this amazing lovable pig named "mudslinger" who won first prize the animal contest. I also liked the parrot. This is for the birds. As you know I'm a bird watcher. For many, many years now I have generations of different birds nesting in my front porch. Since then they've build their special nest in the sky. This spring I had a new Lady Robin bird. She made a new nest this year. She'd fly away whenever I open the front door. Here she is laying her egg. <i
ReplyDeleteBYE-BYE BIRDIES.... Sunday, June 1, 2008....Mama Robin and the 2 baby birds had flown far, far away to birdieland from the home nests, now empty. This photo taken a week earlier, May 26, with one of the hungry baby birds having just gobbled a half-eaten earthworm. The other baby bird is hidden behind. This photo taken, May 31, with the baby bird grooming its feathers and practicing its wings - ready to fly. Mama Robin guarding the baby birds, ready to attack if necessary.
