Sweet Dreams, Baby

Previously Published on September 6, 2004   alt/bust msngroups website

This is being re-published because the other night I dreamed of grenades being given to me and other people.  I think I'm watching too much SyFy films (Infestation, Camel Spider). Or, http://libslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2012/12/gone-fishing.html

Are You a
Dream Lover or a Day Dreamer?....
Dream experiences
are imaginary but to dreamers they seem very real.  Dream is the product
when the brain gets too full with information be it from daily experiences or
thoughts from past.  The only physiological way to discard is through
dreams  and for new data of information and thoughts to be
compartmentalized or boxed and then distributed at a later date.  The
memory span of a dream experience is very short because it is nothing but mixed
garbage of useless tidbits on temporary hold in the recycle bin of the
brain.  Many persons say that they seldom dream, because they do not
remember their dreams.  He will not recall having dreamed when he gets up
in the morning or waking up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare -
unless the dreamer is awakened by external event or by emotional
excitement.  Some dreams are pleasant, annoying and sexual.  Others
are cliffhangers.  Scientists observe dreams in two tests: First, by using
a recording device called the EEG
(ElectroEncephaloGram) the instrument register "Brain Waves" - tiny electrical
changes in a resting brain.  Second, by Sleeper's Eyes.  When a
person dreams, he watches the action that's happening with his own eyes and REM
(rapid eye movements) can be seen through closed eyelids.  As a result,
scientists have determined that everyone dreams 4-6 times a night and each dream
lasts between 15 and 20 minutes.  Dreams don't make sense and a dreamer is
always left hanging with disappointment of not being able to finish or
accomplish his part in the action.  Why? Because his dream is the final
disk clean-up of the memory bank of the brain.  In a PBS show The Secret Life of the Brain -   www.PBS.org -
there are billions and billions of neurons and trillions of
connections.
The brain is wider than the sky.  The brain is wider
than the sea.

Do Dreams Have meaning?
Sure.... Here are some common dream experiences:

Airplane - High flying
ambitions.

Breasts - Refers to the
warmth and security you wish your mother had given you.

chased  Too many pressures at work or life.  For babes, unconscious
wish to be pursued by a man who will love you enough to come on fast and
strong.

something.

MOTHER is smothering you with L-O-V-E.

disguise dream about another "Boss" - Daddy or a
lover.

orgasm.

Finger -  Unconscious

view it as the birth canal.  A specific road may symbolize a crisis.
An unfamiliar road symbolizes new ways of thinking or behaving.  Babe, are
you Miss Behaving?

and healing power.  Caduceus, the
medical symbol, a staff entwined with 2 snakes.

  2. I dreamed of being a "King" and a "Hero".   Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Dear Imbusted:  King - means authority or Father.  In
Word-game - if Martin Luther King is a hero to you - you may be feeling like a
martyr?  Likewise, it can be tricky for a Queen.  The dream
mechanism might want to go in a different direction - like being executed!

    Her
o - In your dream, dude
(babe), it represents all positive aspects of your will, your own strength
and power.  A hero may be a mythological figure like Herocules, Xena - The
Warrior Princes or real historical figure like Ronald Reagan and Nelson
Mandela who seems to embody an IDEAL hero.

  4. I'm dreaming of 'election.'  I remember of being in a 'group.'

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hi, CRISMOD
About you dreaming of.... Election -
Are you a candidate?  Unconsciously, you are a possible choice by
people who are voting.  Another interpretation is you're vying for the
affection of your parents and in sibling rivalry with your brothers and
sisters.  The voter may be an employer (sexual harassment or closed door
session lately?) or a subtle change with your playgirl/loverboy.
You are also in competition with your inner self and elements of your own
    persona.

Groups - in recurring dreams, mean you
want to be secretive and you want to be alone in a crowd - a desire to hide
out.  Groups also make your dream mechanism to conveniently disguise
disturbing people or ideas.  Your unconscious is nagging you to be more
boisterous and proactive.  On the school of opposite dream interpretation,
it means being abandoned, alienated, isolated and dreaming of no one.  This
makes sense when you consider groups or crowds don't provide much security or
    friendship.

    Extra Dream in My Sweet
    Dreams, Baby
....I was in the middle of a  dream when
the phone rang and interrupted my dream potpourri.  It was just a foolish
frank from someone, I hope, for it sounded like chickens or roosters
cluck-clucking or cock-crowing at the end of the line.  Now who'd do that I
wonder? I looked at the clock and it said 5:42 am.  What a wake-up
call!  Anyway, my dream was about Bill Clinton.  Being
gifted with ESP and healing hands, I'm doing my own
    interpretation....

Newsmaker - Bill Clinton is a
politician and one of the famous people in the news.  He's very much in the
news lately with his quadruple heart bypass surgery and it got me worried and
to be careful with my own heart.  I also saw Monica Lewinsky in the last
hurrah of Barbara Walters on her famous ABC TV show 20/20 last night.  My
brain is being washed by too much information and it's just a way of doing its
dirty laundry.  On the other hand, it is an indication of unconscious wish
to be noticed by a special someone I long wanted to touch and reach, to be
appreciated and to be a sensational headliner in major newspapers and
networks.  Did I dream of picking up a newspaper and read about my own
scandal, trial and death?  Well, I don't know!  I was so rudely
interrupted as I've said!  It could also mean an inclination to be
inactive - instead of feeling I want to intellectualize.

    Baby....

  6. One dream I was in a gallery and the other I was skiing.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Dear Busted_si_Dude: Gallery - It represents old rules and ideas
passed on by the elders in your family.  You're finally seeing them in
depth, making an objective evaluation.  If in your dream you're
visiting an art gallery or museum, you are exploring your unconscious and inner
self.  If you're inside and looking at paintings that are hanging on the
walls, antiques and still life, you probably have a lot of past
hangups.  If you're looking at modern paintings or contemporary
scenes, there might be new problems coming your way.

Skiing - If you're in the calm
snowy-white wilderness, you long to express yourself directly and quickly,
to glide over problems as smoothly as if you're wearing skis.  In the real
world, the effortless look of skiing, gently gliding with a short
passing swoosh, is an illusion.  Ask the champion Olympic skiers or
skaters.  It takes practice...patience...persistence.  In your dream,
dear Busted, it often shows anxiety about sexual satisfaction.  Relax, as
long as you have Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis - you are in good hands,
dude!  For babes,  ignore the skiing instructor in your dream and let
your hair hang down and let him let it all hang out.

Oh, by golly gee!  It's taking a
long...long...long time (so many hours) for my MSN SERVICE PACK 2 to
download.  Can't they split it up in 2? Not everyone can afford a superfast
net.  I've eaten a dozen Krispy Kreme and 20 NESTLE mini Butterfinger and
30 Crunch Milk Chocolate with Crisped Rice.  I wonder how long it takes in
the library (there's a limit).  Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  8. I was in a 'gas' station filling up the tank and found a 'tiger.'

    ReplyDelete
  9. I 'm looking at pears in my kitchen table.  I picked a pear to bite and it's made of plastic!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Dear Newbuster - Gas-Tank-Car
represents the energy and drive in you.  You have too much vim, vigor and
vitality you're giving it your all.  As always, car refers to your
zoom-zoom libido.  However, it is a matter of interpretation if the
emphasis is on sex or energy and it's time to replenish the libido.  Have
no fear my dear NewBuster, the gas represents the 'blue pill' in which you have
plenty of and the tank symbolizes the reservoir of discount sex pills and
patches you bought in the internet.  Give it a booster shot,
    baby!

Tiger - Grrrrr!!! You're the Monticore
of Siefried and Roy.  It represents the strong and machismo in you.
If in your dream there's a Roy trying to control the tiger or you, it means your
loverboy/babygirl want a namby-pamby you.  Less assertive and less
aggressive.  If you're on the fashion runway wearing tiger-designed gown or
bag, you feel that you're on the loose and that you're looking for
trouble.  You have no worry, babe/dude... because you came to the right
    place!

  11. Dear Dream Interpreter:          I'm eating in my dream but I don't remember what I'm eating.  Later in my dream, I remember a whale eating me.   Thank you.   CC Rider

  12. My Dear YO2 - Pear - this shapely fruit like any other round or
    oblong thing symbolizes a breast (0) (0).  I have a strong suspicion
you've seen the wardrobe malfunction of Janet Jackson.  The plastic pears
on the table represent a yearning by you to have breast implants but could not
afford the surgery.  In the word games pear sounds like pair and
this represents your attachment with two and bipolar or schizophrenic
people.  Do you have many friends born under the astrological signs of
Gemini (Twins) and Pisces (2 Fishes)?  If you eat real pears, may be you're
mad at your parents.  But in your dream, the pears are plastic.  This
means you love and adore your parents and you really unconsciously want to kiss
and hug them.  Does this sound irrelevant to you, my dear YoYo?  Not
at all! Always try these verbal games with elements in your
    dreams.

  13. Dear Candon Chameleon, You Beautiful
    Dreamer You....
    Eating (same as
    food) -
usually means you're hungry for love.  Fat people when
they have a problem, any kind of problem, eat and eat as substitute for love
that is missing so terribly in their empty lives.  So they come to the
table of plenty.  If you're sitting in a table laden with delicious and
sumptuous foods, someone dining beside you is too possessive and full of
jealousy.  If you're on and off dieter, in strict fat-free or
high-protein diet or just plain carbophobic and you find yourself eating no-no
goodies like chocolate Twinkies and Ho-Hos, Krispy Kreme Donuts and forbidden
fatties - well, what else! It simply means LOVE!  If you're starving and
you see the waiter dude/babe with a full huge plate just passing you by in
your dream or real life, why, you're HUNGRY of course!

Whale - represents someone in your
family or a boss giving you free unrequited or unconditional love, food and
expensive gifts.  In your dream, you remember a whale eating you -
this means you are looking for love at the wrong places (bars, exercise
clubs, airports, parks etc....) and the guy you're with right now is
not Mr. Right Guy.  Why not try the World Wide Web and click
HungryLovers.com or Looking4Love.com?  And keep on doing it,
    baby.

  14. Dear B*U*S*T* Members:
    Shopping - window or
seriously buying (pants, dress, hat and accessories) means you're shopping
around for a new persona - one way for others to view the new you!  The
pants you're trying on - are they real low below the belly button or in
screaming bright colors (chartreuse green, purple)?  If you're a babe, this
looks like you're keeping a low profile or playing down your intelligence ever
since your mommy dearest told you when you were a child that boys are
intimidated by your brain and beauty; if you're a dude, forget the thought
anyone should suspect you're serious and that might lead to new responsibilities
or commitment. You are buying a disguise for aspects of yourself that are
wearing thin in their old costumes, are in danger in coming out of their secret
hiding.  Could this new persona the giggly blonde bimbo type or
the gay dude down the block?
