GRAND OLD PARTY CONVENTION 2004

Opening Night - Great Moments and Great Speakers: GI John & Rudy.... I watch the whole Republican Convention coverage without
commercial interruption in my one and only favorite TV network PBS WTTW 11 Chicago (Window To The World).  It's also known as the Public
Broadcasting System and solely provides excellent shows on anything and
everything for poor people who can't afford cable TV.  My particular funny
favorite is Ian Wright of
Globe Trekker.  He makes me laugh.  Back
tracking, I was inspired by the courage of Sen. John McCain, a genuine Vietnam
War hero and prisoner of war for five years in Hanoi Hilton and by the courage
of Rudy Giuliani who was the mayor of New York when the September 11
tragedy happened and was inside in one of the twin towers.  Their
courage was really and truly awesome.

Second Night -
Arnold & Laura.... No, it's not the title of a
romance novel but the life story of an immigrant and a great great great
great daughter of the Alamo.  He "Inclusion,"  She "Compassion."  As an immigrant myself
looking for a better life and opportunity, I shared the same American experience
with the now governor of the golden state of California.  Another star-spangled speech from an action star who
made it to America from Austria with just another great white or
colorful hope of the American Dream.  His message was if you make it
to America you can make it anywhere.  And that in America - All things are
possible.  This is just so delightful.  The most popular and beautiful
twins in the whole world, Barbara and Jenna (see Vogue
Magazine) lovingly and proudly introduced Laura Bush with the help of their
dad. They were a breath of fresh air in the in the aging flowers and baby
bloomers of Madison Garden.  I just love their funny jokes (my kind) and
subtle but adoring dig at their dad, mom, granny and granpa.  There's nothing like the youth of
summer.  Not stuffy.  Kudos to the
scriptwriters.

Third Night -
Zell & Dick.... Political history in the making.  I don't remember a
Democrat, Zell of Georgia, being a keynote speaker in a Republican Convention.
This may be the beginning of a beautiful bipartisanship between two
great parties but then again....may be not.

Hasta La Vista, Baby and I'll Be
Back!!!

  3. Oh, What A
    Night!...
Last night was the culmination of the life experiences
related and told to the American people by some national figures who
fulfilled their American Dreams.  From the opening night and in between,
they told of their courage, their compassion, the inclusion of one scrawny
penniless immigrant kid from Austria who made it big not only on the big screen
but in life, the voyage of a Cuban immigrant and the personal love of a
First Lady to a  beloved war-time president but above all, a great family
man - George W. Bush.  The final night of the Republican Convention
was full of spirit and hope for a safer America.  But unlike his
presidential opponent, John F. Kerry, whose big head is just but an empty vacuum
and full of left-wing ideas and plans, President George W. Bush's acceptance
speech was full of great substance.  Last
night, his message was easy to read and the choice was very clear.  My
dear relatives and friends in Texas, California, Florida and wherever you maybe
today - President George W. Bush laid out his many great accomplishments
while in office comparing his ideology, his doctrine, his plans and
his vision to the flip-flop philosophy of his opponent.  My great
expectation last night was for President George W. Bush to tell me about his
    plans on -

    EDUCATION.
    HE DID AND WILL DO!
    MEDICARE.
    HE DID AND WILL DO!
    RETIREMENT AND
SOCIAL SECURITY.  HE DID AND WILL
    DO!
JOBS AND BUSINESS.  HE DID AND WILL DO!
    AND ABOVE ALL,
HOMELAND SECURITY.  HE DID AND WILL DO!

I just visited Mila, A.L.T. PRO, who had a
major and delicate operation to remove a brain tumor and to wish her a continued
recovery.  In the course of our chit-chat, she asked me for the third time
(or was it four?) what I think of Teresa Kerry, the wife of John Kerry.
Let me tell you what I told her and her mother and sister, Alice.  The
contrast between her and First Lady Laura Bush could not be more apparent and in
black and white.  FL Laura Bush is so sweet, so charming and so gracious
that she's so fit to continue to be the FLOTUS (First
    Lady Of The
    United States)  for four more
    years!  Teres

  4. GOLLEE! WOW!  WHAT AN HONEST IMPRESSION AND REAL ASSESSMENT OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.  YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON GOING WITH YOUR BLOG BECAUSE KERRY WAS ON THE MIDNIGHT ATTACK AND THIS TIME ATTACKING - VP DICK CHENEY - THE GUY ON YOUR ALT MOST ADMIRED LIST.  KERRY ANGRILY ATTACKED CHENEY'S FIVE (5) MILITARY DEFERMENTS BECAUSE YOU KNOW, HE'S SO PROUD OF BEING A VIETNAM WAR HERO AND FIT TO BE THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.  IF HE'S SO PROUD WHY HE TURNED BENEDICT ARNOLD AND MET WITH THE VIETCONG IN PARIS?  IF HE'S SO PROUD WHY HE THREW OUT HIS WAR MEDALS?  THIS IS SO LOW AND SHAMELESS OF KERRY SINCE CHENEY HAD FOUR HEART ATTACKS!!!! Disgusting and outrageous!

  5. Kerry has no originality.  There's a best-selling book about him called "Unfit For Command."  Mr. Flip-Flop called Bush and Cheney "Unfit" too!
