MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
I'm still resting and recovering from my super-busy trip to the Philippines and sidetrip to Bali, Indonesia.  For a change, it's more of a nature adventure this time - - one of the highlights is going to the province of Palawan, the last frontier of the Philippines.  What a thrill to go boating to the subterranean cave underneath the mountain and see the different stone formation.
I was also invited in the Congress of the Philippines to watch their evening session at 4:30 pm, Monday to Wednesday, by Congressman Godofredo Arquiza (brother of ALT PRO Mila). Cong. Fred "Mr. Senior Citizen" is the Representative of the Senior Citizens Sector.  He legislated the bill to give I.D. card to all Filipino Senior Citizens with 20% discount to restaurants bills and store purchases.  I heard also that if a caregiver who's taking care of a 99 year-old  and that he or she get to reach 100 year-old, the caregiver will get a bonus of 100,000 pesos (or is it 1,000,000 pesos?).  I have to check and verify this.

Members of Philippine Congress

Seating in the chair of Cong. Fred for a minute - Getting the feeling.  With nephew Engr. Andy, Nora, Cong. Fred and his lovely wife Remy.

Cong. Fred changed to a dark-green Barong in preparation for the Congressional session.

My favorite former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, now Congressman Gloria, signing a photo I've taken when she visited Chicago in 2003 to speak and lend her support of the 9/11 Tragedy.  She was an excellent extemporaneous speaker and I was very, very impressed!

L-R: Dean Cito of Mapua, Cong. Fred, Remy, Self, Nora and Engr. Andy.  After the early adjournment of the session, around 6:00 pm,  Cong. Fred treated us to a newly opened Asian Filipino restaurant in Quezon City.

Posing in front of the photos of Representatives.  Manny Pacquiao (line 4, 8 from left) was not present during the roll call as he was in the White House saying hello to Obama.

I also paid a visit to my niece Karen in the north wing who's in the staff of Congressman Eric Singson (Ilocos Sur).  Cong. Singson was away attending a wedding in Boracay.

Yet to be blogged on http://libslabyrinth.blogspot.com - On the Road from Manila and Ilocos Sur, Puerto Princesa (City in a Forest), and Bali.
