Subject: Upcoming Meeting Announcement
The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary
Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases is hosting a meeting entitled
"Immunobiology of Influenza Virus Infection: Approaches for an Emerging Zoonotic
Disease". It will be held July 29-31, 2007 at the University of Georgia,
Athens. This important meeting will assemble basic and applied viral
immunologists from academia, industry and the government to foster effective
translation of new findings in basic research into effective vaccines and
therapies. The meeting will be distinguished by a plenary lecture to be given by
1996 Nobel Laureate Peter Doherty.
