The Don Wade and Roma Show and The Rush Limbaugh Show were my favorite programs. Upon the death of Don Wade in 2012, the show was replaced by Bruce Wolf and Dan Proft. The show was going strong with many Chicago loyal listeners. Bruce Wolf is an all-around TV sportscaster, a part-time divorce attorney and was a happy-go-lucky FOX and NBC TV host of morning shows for some years. I often wondered what happened to Eddie Munster of Addam's Family all these years. I found out he grew up in Skokie, Illinois and metamorphosed as Bruce Wolf. How so? I have compared their full head of black hair and the similarity is remarkable without the pointed hair in the forehead!
Dan Proft, no relation to Jeff Probst of The Survivors, is very much politically involved and a Republican in the Democrat stronghold of Chicago. He was a candidate for Governor of Illinois in 2012 but there were other favorite Republican candidates. I even got a robocall from him. It's not a secret: Your name is passed around who you voted in past elections. I always vote straight Republican. He graduated in JD at Northwestern University. He likes to fly in his spare time.

A radio listener since 1989
I was a WLSam radio listener of Don Wade & Roma Show for 20 years before I was a listener of Bruce Wolf & Dan Proft, who took over when Don was stricken with brain tumor and had to unfortunately leave the popular show. Bruce & Dan are doing an excellent job. Bruce is so knowledgeable about everything and anything and so very funny yet brilliant while Dan who was a 2011 ? candidate for Governor of Illinois under the Republican Party banner is kind of serious and politically savvy.

What ever the hell happened to my favorite news anchor Shepard Smith? I miss him. First, I keep looking for him at FOX every December. It turned out he goes on vacation. I don't have anything against Greta Van Susteren and Megyn Kelly but I love and prefer the guys.

ReplyDeleteTHERE YOU GO! DAN PROFT OF BRUCE & DAN SHOW ON WLS AM BIG 89 RADIO SAID HIS FINAL ALOHA. A VERY GOOD TEAM I WAKE UP LISTENING TO THEM, AS EARLY AS 5 AM. I HAD A FEELING KNOWING HOW THINGS ARE ON THE RADIO AND WHEN HE WAS ABSENT FOR A FEW WEEKS AFTER GOING TO HAWAII WITH HIS GROUP THAT THINGS WERE NOT GOING WELL IN HIS NEGOTIATION, WHATEVER THAT MEANS. FOLKS, WHO WOULD WAKE UP AT 12 MIDNIGHT TO PREPARE FOR A 5:00 AM TO 9:00 AM SHOW? THEN SLEEP DURING THE DAY? THAT'S HARD. I WONDER IF THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN TO BRUCE AFTER HE GOES TO AN ITALIAN TOUR THIS YEAR? WHAT'S SO UNBELIEVABLE BECAUSE IT'S SUCH NONSENSE THAT WLS AM IS 17TH IN THE RATINGS. THIS IS A BOGUS SURVEY, IF YOU ASK ME. I CAN COUNT ON MY FINGERS HOW MANY RADIO STATIONS THERE ARE IN CHICAGOLAND. ABOUT 4! BESIDES, WLS AM HAS THE BEST SIGNAL IN THE WORLD.
