SJA Filipino Community Goodbye Ned

JUNE 30, 2O13  FAREWELL PARTY FOR NED, SJA FILIPINO COMMUNITY CHOIR MUSIC DIRECTOR.  Four times a year, the Filipino Choir contribute to the celebration of the Holy Mass and Simbang Gabi or Midnight Mass at Saint Joan of Arc Church, Evanston-Skokie, Illinois.  Cathy, SJA Filipino Community coordinator was looking for a music minister for the Filipino Choir.  She found out Ned was a member of a music band.  Ned established the SJA Filipino Choir in 2000, starting with 10 members with piano and guitar as accompaniments.  Over the years the choir has grown to as much as 30 members and varying musical instruments.  He and the choir served with 3 pastors: Fr. Barrett, Fr. Kehoe and Fr. Vollmer.  Thank you for always giving the community a helping hand with your amazing talent and in entertaining us with good music to lift up our soul.
