How Things Work

SO,  THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE!  I have sometimes wondered.

How ice cream cones are made.

How coins get sorted inside a machine.

How paper clips turn into paper clips.

Why Michael Jackson was able to defy gravity

The way pretzels are tied en masse.

How peanut butter jars are filled full of creamy goodness.

How exactly all that stuff gets into a Pop-Tart.

What actually happens when you put a key in a door.

How hay bales get wrapped.

How the way braces change your teeth.

Baby Face

THIS IS HOW HUMAN BABY FACE IS FORMING IN THE WOMB.   Is Planned Parenthood really selling fetal organs for research and to scientific companies?  Question:  How does Planned Parenthood get the body parts of the fetus from hospitals and clinics?  Curiously.

Well, well, well!   Well it be.... bye-bye,
Dubai?

I hope President Bush will stand firm and deliver
to our true and proven allies in the Middle East.  Will he use his veto
power?

The liberal Democrats (Hillary Clinton & Charles
Schumer), some Republicans with presidential ambitions (Namby Pamby Frist),
anti-immigrant Americans don't have any faith and trust in the
capability of the United States to defend its ports.  These are the
self-righteous politicians and people who are against racial profiling
and domestic spying of Arab suspects.  These are the honest politicians who
are often criticizing our very own American companies (Halliburton to name one)
for dishonesty, bribery, wastes, and corruptions .  Now they want
American companies to operate and manage the seaports.  Make up your mind,
stupid! These are the brave Americans who deny there is no war on terror and
that we should not be fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Hypocrites!

I live in Chicago.  The Chicago Skyway and tollway
at the border of Indiana is managed by a foreign (Japan?) company and
leased to them for 100 years.   The laboratory machines I use was
previously owned by McDonnell-Douglas, bought by a French corporation and the
president was a Japanese.  We are part of the global society and cannot be
isolationists.  The United States should reward the coalition of nations,
UK, Australia, South Korea and Japan among many others, and the Middle
Eastern allies against terrorism.

HEY! If "bad things" happen to our seaports, the US can
always nuke the United Arab Emirates and that my dear relatives and
friends....is something that they cannot risk!

I just bought a fresh frozen tilapia for dinner.
On the package  - Farm Raised, Product of China.

Bye Bye Bye.

Giggles.

The
church organist was in her eighties and had never been
married.

She
was admired for her sweetness

and
kindness to all.

One
afternoon the pastor

came
to call on her and she showed him into her quaint
sitting room..

She
invited him to have a seat while she prepa red tea.

As
he sat facing her old Hammond organ,

the
young minister

noticed
a

Cut-glass
bowl

sitting
on top of it.

The
bowl was filled

w
ith wa ter,

and
in the water

floated,
of all things, a condom!

When
she returned

with
tea and scones,

they
began to chat.

The
pastor tried to stifle his curiosity

about
the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it
got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

'Miss
Beatrice', he said,

'I
wonder if you would tell me about this?'

pointing
to the bowl.

'Oh,
yes,' she replied,

'Isn't
it wonderful?

I
was walking through

the
Park a few months ago

and
I found this little package

on
the ground.

The
directions said

to
place it on the organ,

keep
it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease.

Do
you know

I
haven't had the flu

all
winter'

If
you don't send this

I like to cruise but I don't want the huge monstrosity of 4000 passenger/crew. I realized how impossible it will be when a disaster like this happens, people panick, they will shove & trample anyone on their way. Besides I don't know how to swim. This was a horrible disaster & fortunately the death toll small. I also much prefer the small river cruises that I have taken in Russia, Nile, Rhine.  Josie

@ Kangaroo Tim Down Under & All

Thank you much for sharing.  I must confess I'm not so fun of travel cruises except that one time I went on an Aegean cruise to Greece and Turkey.  I prefer the one day cruise like the cruise along the Rhine River, the Blue Danube or the Nile.  Mind you, it's true you don't have to hurry up pack and go like in land tours, eat a lot of sumptuous foods and all amenities are more for the conveniences of seniors and young people alike.  But it's just not for me, too confining and risky.  In land tours, you ride up the bus which most of the time driven by good and capable drivers and you enjoy the beautiful sceneries and attractive people in their costumes.  In gargantuan boats, you just sea the big blue sea.  Kind of boring, don't you think? No? Okedoke.

I always say things happen for a reason.  What if the Costa Concordia is sailing in the deep blue ocean, so faraway from land, and for some unknown freaky reason an accident happened, 40 feet tidal wave maybe?  The consequence is more tragic I think and more deaths of precious lives to count.  As you know, where there are big ship cruises there are many of our kababayans working as chefs, hosts, managers and food servers.  I was quite glad to read that all the 152 Filipino crews or so of the Costa Concorda were safe and sound except for one who had a minor injury.  I was very proud that they helped almost all of the passengers before saving themselves.  I read also that they are all back in the Philippines with the support of the Philippine Consul in Italy.

To happy cruisers -- Sail away if you must and the wind of good fortune be with you!
