George W. Bush Presidential Center

PRESIDENT BUSH GIVING THE W-SALUTE AT THE PRESIDENTIAL CENTER.  The W-Salute means Welcome, and also W for his middle name.  With the doors now open, there are more opportunities than ever before to help people learn about America's history and the U.S. Presidency, and to lead debates over the great public policy questions facing our Nation and the world.

My Political Monologue, not debatable:

A great leader who does not lead from behind, never wavering in his decision points, he protected and saved the U.S. homeland during his terms from sound policies, such as Patriot Act and Guantanamo Bay Detention Center, enacted by his administration after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.  Suddenly, there were almost 3,000 lives lost in ONE DAY.  I don't diminish the American soldier deaths - of more than 5,000 and counting in the Iraq War as well as in Afghanistan -- but that  was for the past TEN YEARS! How can fellow Americans on the contra sides, radicals and other activists blame the US for the deaths of Iranians and Afghans, when it's the Al-Quaeda sympathizers, Sunnis, Shiites, and Talibans killing them?

GEORGE W. BUSH PRESIDENTIAL CENTER - COMMEMORATIVE COIN

President and Mrs. George W.Bush celebrated the historic dedication of the Bush Center on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas on April 25.  Many leaders from other nations who supported the United States the fight against terrorism including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former debonair Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, attended the ceremony.  Former US Presidents Jimmy Carter, George Bush, Bill Clinton and current President Barack Obama and their lovely First Ladies were able to attend.  Michael Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan, represented Mrs. Nancy Reagan.
It was a celebration of President Bush's strong stand against terrorism after 9/11 and his commitment to freedom, education reform and tax relief.  As a remaining superpower, the United States of A. should help people of oppressed nations who are under tyrannic rule not only in words but in deeds to gain freedom and liberty.  Turning ideas into action and success are what moves the Bushes.   The highlight of Mrs. Laura Bush's contribution to humanity is her remarkable solidarity with the women of Afghanistan as they courageously stood against oppression.
Through the Bush Center, there's the opportunity to tell the story of his leadership during an extraordinary time and to encourage students to learn more about the Presidency, U.S. history and public service.  Bush Institute programs such as the Women's Initiative and Military Service Initiative are already having a profound impact on education reform, global health, human freedom and economic growth.

BEST WISHES FROM PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH  DECEMBER 2012
A special photograph of President and Mrs. Laura Bush that captures their passion for public service, commitment to global health and saving lives.  It features them in Kabwe, Zambia, during the July 3rd ribbon cutting ceremony at the Ngungu Health Center which they helped to renovate during their most recent trip to Africa.  They also visited the Kasisi Children's Home, which housed 230 orphaned children - about 60 of whom are living with HIV.  In Botswana, they launched Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon to help build on the country's success in battling HIV/AIDS by expanding treatment for cervical cancer.

Groundbreaking of the George W. Bush Presidential Center two years ago at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  More than 3,000 friends, supporters, and members joined in the celebration.

The building is a modern new-century expression of Georgian architecture.  It will be telling the story of Bush presidency and a dynamic hub of ideas and actions by historians and scholars, based on timeless principles. A home for fellowship and initiative programs.

Dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center will be on April 25, 2013.
