St. Joan of Arc Parish Simbang Gabi - Experience a cherished Philippine tradition. Reception and program will follow in the Auditorium after the mass. The program will feature Philippine dances by the SJA Filipino teens and Loyola University Kapwa Cultural. The Sama-Sama Project will also present Sarsuela (Zarzuela). Sarsuela is the Philippine version of vaudeville. Simbang Gabi is a nine-day novena of masses before Christmas. The Archdiocese of Chicago coordinates the yearly inter-parish celebration. Each participating parish hosts an evening mass.
