Awesome Alberta

 Lab Tech Favorite Holiday Trip

Awesome  Alberta
"50 SWITZERLANDS IN ONE"
BEBS, A LAB TECH FROM PHOENIX, just came from a mini-vacation in the west Canadian prairie province of Alberta.  It was named after the royal Princess Louise Caroline Alberta -  daughter of Her Majesty, The Queen Victoria of England.  Alberta's world famous lake, the beautiful Lake Louise, was from her first name.
Rich in oil deposits, long pipelines link the big oil refineries of Alberta to the Pacific Coast and eastern Canada.  Canada is the number one supplier of oil to the United States, surpassing even Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Venezuela.  The first settlers, mostly cattle ranchers populated the southern area in the late 1800s.  Edmonton is the capital of Alberta.
The mountains north and south and in-between the Canadian Rockies attract millions of visitors like Lab Tech Bebs.  She's a regular visitor but more eventful this summer because of the invitation of Tess - her best bosom buddy, childhood playmate and neighbor, college classmate and even sharing the same birthday among other things.  Tess' son Eric just got married and by choice, held the wedding, of all places, in a zoo in Calgary.  How unique and fascinating, celebrating with the animals. This is according to Lab Tech Bebs.

One of the main attractions is the resort area of Banff National Park with its scenic bare and rugged 31 jagged peaks, reaching 11,000 feet.  The Twin Peaks rise above Jasper National Park.

The magnificent Jasper National Park, north of the Canadian Rockies.
The beauty, the awesome sights of Alberta will melt anybody's cold, cold heart.
