The Lettermen Concert News

Dear Lulu of McAllen-Edinburg, TX (MSN GROUPS Member)

I just saw the popular 60's group The Lettermen in Evanston.  It was a terrific performance and everyone had a fantastic time.  See my photos with them taken by ALT PRO Mila @ http://groups.msn.com/LabTechs/thelettermen.msnw

I'd like you to know they will be in concert at the McALLEN CONVENTION CENTER - NOVEMBER 11, THURSDAY.  Tel. no.  915-521-2300 |  915-534-0604

Is the Filipino population in McAllen increasing?  Am I correct in my guess of 50 to 60 Pinoys?  Not much, huh? Anyway, if they find out there are Pinoys in the audience they might sing Dahil Sa Iyo or Ikaw.

You might want to go and see them with Richard and your friends.

See you folks this coming Christmas for my annual visit and enjoyment of my company.

Good day!

Peroxide Power / WD-40

E-mail forwarded by Ellen of Toronto.  Very useful information.  Thanks, Ubing!

Subject:  Peroxide

Very Interesting,,,,
Peroxide,,,,,who knew? >(Safer and Healthier than Bleach) This was
written by Becky Ransey of Indiana (a doctor's wife), and I want to
share it with you. She was over recently for coffee and smelled the
bleach I was using to clean my toilet and countertops. This is what
she told me...

I would like to tell you of the benefits of that plain little ole
bottle of 3% peroxide you can get for under $1.00 at any drug
store. What does bleach cost? My husband has been in the medical
field for over 36 years,
and most doctors don't tell you about peroxide. Have you ever
smelled bleach in a doctor's office? NO!!! Why? Because it smells,
and it is not healthy! Ask the nurses who work in the doctor's
offices, and ask
them
if they use bleach at home. They are wiser and know better!   Did
you also know bleach was invented in the late 40's? It's chlorine,
Folks! And it was used to kill our troops. Peroxide was invented
during WWI in
the 20's. It was used to save and help cleanse the needs of our
troops and hospitals. Please think about this.

1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the
bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it
out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores, and your teeth
will be whiter without
expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them
free of germs.

3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs
and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when
you wipe, or spray
it on the counters.

4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it
to kill salmonella and other bacteria.

5. I had fungus on my feet for years until I sprayed a 50/50
mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every
night and let dry.

6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten
minutes
several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not
heal
with any medicine but was healed by soaking in peroxide.

7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water
and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your
septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.

8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50
mixture whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and
help to kill the
bacteria.  Hold for a few minutes, and then blow
your nose into a tissue.

9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist
right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it
for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray
the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it
through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the
hair dye packages
but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish,
or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic
change.

11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils,
fungus, or other skin infections.

12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load
of whites in your
laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on
clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a
minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water.  Repeat if
necessary.

13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors. There is no smearing, which
is why I love it so much for this.

I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be
without!  With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's
a way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner!
This information really woke me up. I hope you gain something from
it, too.

Don't do Citgo

I've never been to CITGO. Is there a CITGO in
Chicago? I usually go to BP & Marathon.  I knew from before
Bostonians, especially the Democrats, love Hugo because gas is sold cheaply to
them.

Please read, especially since Dictator Hugo Chavez
recently called OUR President "The Devil."

Cindy & Chavez
Venezuela Dictator Vows To Bring
Down U.S. Government

Venezuela government
is sole owner of Citgo gasoline company

Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S.
government. Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV
audience
: "Enough of
imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We
have to bury imperialism this century."

The guest on his television program, beamed across
Venezuela
, was Cindy Sheehan,
the antiwar activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who
called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world."

Chavez is pushing a
socialist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel
Castro.

Regardless of
your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a
socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the
U.S. And he is using our money to achieve is using our
money to achieve his goal!

The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas
company.
Sales of products at Citgo
stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our
government.

Take
Action

Please decide that you
will not be shopping at a Citgo station.
Why should U.S. citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed
to take down our government?

Very
important. Please forward this to your friends and family. Most of them
m
ay not know that Citgo is owned by the
Venezuela
government.

YOU CAN VERIFY THIS ON THE CITGO WEB
PAGE.

9/11 Flying the American flag

Dear Laborers & Friends,

This e-mail was forwarded in my inbox by Terri, a former co-worker in the lab.

How to fly the flag: visit http://groups.msn.com/AssociationofLaboratoryTechnologists/americalandofbroadstripesandbrightstars.msnw

Have a nice Labor Day weekend!

A Patriotic American

9/11 Flag Flying

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE forward this email immediately to everyone in your address book asking them to also forward it.
We have a little less than two weeks and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.

THE PROGRAM IS THIS:
On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States.

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in honor of
those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.
Action Plan: So, here's what we need you to do...
(1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people).
Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.
Thank you for your participation. God Bless You and God Bless America
