Due to less than enough laboratory technologists working in small hospitals, most of the time 2 workers in one section,administrators and supervisors rarely send or no one at all to workshops and seminars. As part of continuing education they would just have some Q & A from lab magazines and other lab resources. Working in a bigger healthcare facility or university hospital is most of the time more accomodating to send a lab worker to expensive workshops such as ASCP and ASM.
