Destination Central Europe Frankfurt

FRANKFURT, GERMANY
Hail Deutschland, Land of the Teutones! The land is a long story of wars and rulers - Hohenstaufen Emperors Frederick Barbarossa and Frederick II; Rudolph, the first ruler from the Hapsburg family down the line of Charles V, Ferdinand I & II; Frederick William, the Great Elector of the Hohenzollern family to Frederick I, King of Prussia (1701) and Frederick II, the Great.  Germany was blamed for starting World War I and World War II.  Julius Caesar around 9 A.D. wrote about the Teutones in his book "Gallic Wars" and the Roman historian Tacitus in his book "Germania."  In 800 A.D. Charlemagne (Charles the Great) conquered Saxon and was crowned Roman Emperor.  The Germans are famous for being thorough, thrifty and hardworking.
