Germany was blamed for starting World War I and World War II. Julius Caesar around 9 A.D. wrote about the Teutones in his book "Gallic Wars" and the Roman historian Tacitus in his book "Germania." In 800 A.D. Charlemagne (Charles the Great) conquered Saxon and was crowned Roman Emperor. The Germans are famous for being thorough, thrifty and hardworking.
