Clinton. I don't like her period. But future presidential candidates
should follow her style of campaigning... she goes to poor small town America
and ask for campaign money. The point is a candidate should never forget
to mingle with small people. A little contribution here and there adds

State Gold Star Mothers made a

to Washington, DC, to discuss
various concerns with their

published reports, there was only one politician

refused to meet with these
ladies.

use of said Secret Service residence and that rent is just

equal to their mortgage
payment, .......meaning that we, the
tax
payers, are paying the
Clinton's mortgage, their transportation,
their safety and security, their 12 man staff, and it's all
perfectly
legal.

ReplyDeleteCONNECTION.....For the life of me, I cannot understand why Filipino mother
Ligaya Lagman would like to join this organization. There are other
legitimate and non-partisan groups that support grieving mothers of American
soldiers that died in the war. Take the case of GOLD STAR MOTHER Cindy
Sheehan whose son Casey (who by the way looked like a young Gen. Colin
Powell) died in Iraq more than a year ago. I was turned off by her
protesting and whining in the ditch of Crawford, Texas. I heard she was
extremely rude to President Bush when they met at the White House before.
Now, whenever I see this irritating and stupid woman's face on TV I change
channel. I lost all sympathy for her. She's not the only one that
lost a son. The Virgin Mary (today August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption of Mother Mary to
Heaven) who lost her beloved son Jesus did not complain
and whine but accepted with grace and suffered in silence the death of her
only son.

HOW TO EASE THE PAIN OF LOST....I would like
to reflect that we too should learn to shake off the things that could bury
us. Too often, we hold on to what has happened to us for a week, a month
and even years! Failures, hurts, bitterness, anger, resentments, disappointments
will eat us up if we continue to chew them over and over. To get going
with life, we must learn to shake off the entire dirt that falls on our backs,

FOR GOLD STAR MOTHERS....The American Gold Star Mothers is a national and
federally-chartered organization of mothers whose children died in war
while serving in the U.S. armed forces. There are 1,200 elite
members. The controversy started when it rejected the membership of
Filipino mother Ligaya Lagman, a legal resident of Yonkers, New York.
Her son Anthony, 26, an Army staff sergeant and an American citizen, was killed
in Afghanistan last year. The decision was heavily criticized and pressure
mounted when New York Governor George Pataki and many politicians joined the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Local 2285 in Eastchester, N.Y. The organization
defended its decision as constitutional. There is also a mounting call for
the national VFW and Disabled Veterans of America to amend their bylaws to allow
non-citizens to become members. More than 140 military service members who
were not U.S. citizens have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. Legal residents
who are not citizens have long served in the U.S. military.

I have a suspicion that Casey joined the military twice to

ReplyDeleteIt's a no-win situation for Bush - her target. Bush' s Crawford neighbors are mad at her for turning the sleepy town into a cemetery. Some guy from Waco was wacko mad and ran over the crosses with his SUV. The best thing to do is stay compassionate for the grieving woman and all the mothers/parents of fallen soldiers.
But Bush should remain a strong leader of a strong nation and think of the 'common good' of the people.

I saw Mother Cindy on
ReplyDeletetelevision just now. She was at the airport having temporarily left the
lazy, dry hot ditches of Crawford, Texas, smiling in a contented way
and being supported by her new-found friends. If not for divine
intervention, her 74-year old mother suffered a stroke the other day,
Mother Cindy vowed to hang out as long as she could or until all the U.S. troops
have come home. She had no choice but to be by the side of her sick
mother. She said she'd be back but I doubt it. For you see, like the
Chinese I believe in two things: luck and destiny. Her husband of 27 years
filed divorce papers and her children begged her to come home already. Did
I hear correctly she has another son serving right now in
Afghanistan?
For the past two
weeks, she's been languishing in the glory she's been craving for from the bias
mainstream media and anti-war activists. She finally got the attention
after more than a year of speaking to active members of local Democratic groups
and universities in California. She's been to left-wing CNN,
interviewed by liberal talk shows and even made an anti-Bush commercial.
She's been all over. Her face has been shown all over the world. For
her, lashing out and doing these things sort of ease the pain of having
lost a son who she believed served in a rotten and illegitimate war. Like
majority of extreme Democrats she never believed in building democracy for other
nations and freedom is only right for Americans and no one else's. How
selfish is that! Her son Casey though otherwise.
The luck of Mother Cindy run out when her
son Casey died in Iraq. And like all Gold Star Mothers, it is her destiny
to have lost a son, too, for it is indelibly written in the guiding
stars of life.
Compassion is needed to heal the hurts of
others.

she was saying and goodness gracious, she just did not make sense. Her
mind has gone wacko! My reverse psychology worked! I said in my previous
message she probably won't be back in the ditches of Crawford to be with other
peace moms ( she had to be by the side of her mother who had a stroke last
week). But just as I expected, like most bleeding-heart liberal democrats,
she did return yesterday as soon as she had shown the world that she loved and
cared for her dear mother. BYE AND BEGONE!
AMEN TO THAT! We should rally behind the counter-protestors who are against the anti-war activists. Let's follow them all in Washington. We must show the enemies that majority of Americans are united and determined to win and win all! That today we have a voice against the divisive Cindy Sheehan of the world who are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. One for all and all for one. Support our troops.
