  6. To some folks, 2005 is or was (depending wherever you
    are and what time it is...) not a very good year.  I, myself, am one of the
    lucky ones - being blessed with good health, abundant hope and optimism,
    and a hopeless dreamer.   I'm really and truly thankful to my
    good genes and most of all to my good God for my strong faith even if I was not
    that religious.  Do I feel guilty sometimes?  Of course!  I
    wouldn't be human if I don't feel those good feelings.  But I say
    to myself, self, they are nothing but feelings.

    To some young ones like kids in my family, getting a
    year older is no big thing.  In fact, it's something of a milestone - like
    graduating from high school in 2006 and going to college.  To the young
    ones once, it meant reaching retirement and feeling the pain of old age.
    Old and young are on the extreme opposites but think of it this way: it's a
    state of mind.  To quote:

    Old is useless,
    Young is useful;
    Old is lifeless.
    Young is life;
    Old is yesterday,
    Young is today.

    Therefore, the message I'm getting is....be
    young and beautiful.  Hello!  Message is one powerful medicine.
    There are so many health tips in magazine articles, TV talk shows and free
    unsolicited advice from caring friends who went 'under the
    knife.'   A mother of a friend once asked me if I had plastic
    surgery because I keep getting younger every time she sees me.
    (Giggle).  No, no, never ! I said, I'm so afraid of tiny needles,
    suctions and cuts.  As I said, it's due to my mixed
    heredity.

    So....my instant message for the coming year
    is have room for constructive messages.  Decline the destructive
    messages.  Like telling the baby in you what you are not what you should
    do.  When I hear annoying people and nay-sayers, I avoid them or turn them
    off and switch channels.  Do yourself a favor.  Just do
    it!

    Believe me and I did not think of this
    alone.

    TO BE HUMAN IS TO
    CHANGE.  TO BE PERFECT IS TO HAVE CHANGED OFTEN.
