The pitch is on by the Obama Administration -- refinance your home even if you can't afford it or you're out of a job. 
First, homeowners who got their homes because of the subprime rate deal, who didn't have any asset, who didn't have any savings, and who didn't put any downpayment of 12 to 20% and now who lost their jobs are thinking or going to refinance? Are they crazy or stupid?
Whatever their situation is, there are just many strings attached in refinancing a home - fees and principals.  Beware! It's all hyped by the current socialist government.  Put hold on your goal right now and be on top of the game.  If job is beyond reach right now, keep dreaming on owning a house.  However, for the rich folks who have enough moolah in the bank, by all means, buy a house or more.

What in the world....? I got this in the mail.  Effective May 1st, Discover card is upping the finance charge to 29.99% interest.  I must confess I didn't pay heed to the previous interest.  I just pay in full.  You know, this is probably another side effect of the socialist Obama Administration taking control of of the banking system.  All I can say at this time is....bye-bye Discover.
