The Republicans in Congress should think very carefully before voting for the immigration reform bill. Be prepared to lose election after election because all 11 million illegal immigrants who fast-tracked to American citizenship will definitely vote for the Democrats!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I can only offer my sympathy to all the folks living in the states bordering Mexico and Canada and the folks trying to cross the borders illegally. I am aghast and dismayed at the videos of illegals caught in the act by hardworking border patrols, their hands crossed behind their heads - - so many, so many of them. In the meantime, there are frozen quotas of immigrants from other countries who applied and filed their immigration papers at US embassies and have been waiting 10 to 20 years. What is the numero uno richest man in the world from Mexico doing to help his fellow amigos? I'd like to know.
Let me tell you a true inside story in my family. The new law in Arizona about police checking anyone they suspect as possible illegal is nothing new. It happens all the time anywhere in the United States of A. Many years ago, my Vietnam Veteran brother was walking one morning near the highway in his home in Harlingen, Texas. My brother is brown-skinned, wearing a cap and shabby pants, and he looked kind of, you see, a Mexican or an Asian. The police patrol happened to see this suspicious dude, my brother, and asked for his I.D. Heheheh! (It was a big joke now). It was a good thing he carried his wallet all the time.
I'm wondering, if I so happened to be in Arizona someday, jogging in the park, looking like one of those suspicious looking illegal aliens, and so happened not to have my passport or driver's license in my jogging suit with me, what will I do? It ain't gonna happen. Why? I don't go jogging or walking.
I must say, there's nothing to fear as long as you're "Legal American."
