FBPO on Presidential Politics 2008

GIVE ME SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT....

I have observed the Democrats are in discords.
The party elders have made a critical error in judgment.  What am I talking
about, you ask?  It would make the Republicans a little bit and some
very nervous indeed if Hillary was the presumptive presidential nominee and
BObama as the veep pick.  I saw a glimpse of Hillary on TV yesterday, after
a brief time off of licking her wounds, and dear friends and folks, she looked
pale and sick.  The glow is gone.  She used to be pretty in
pink.  There's that aura of sadness, of lost opportunity of being
proclaimed as presidential nominee at the convention, and most of all, that
gloom of hidden anger of inconsolable defeat.  Some years ago, during
the Monica blowjob scandal, a few political pundits had been saying she'd
leave her darling husband Bill and they'd been only sticking together as a
couple, because of her political aspirations.  I said to myself, self, no
way that she would ever leave him. The once First Lady Hillary LOVES
Bill.  Period.

It was a big setback for the women's movement, a slap
in the face.  Okay, okay.  I'm exaggerating but it's the truth.
Frankly, gazing at my shiny crystal ball, I'm not seeing a woman presidential
wannabe again in....20 years?

Whoa!  Where did that come from? I'm wondering the
question to McCain by http://www.Politico.com about houses.  I
have the impression BObama is getting panicky and sounding like a spoiled rock
idol.  No, not presidential talk at all.  As a Capitalist Ms. Piggy
(one of my nicknames), I don't remember how many CDs I have in the bank.  I
have many friends and college batchmates who have two houses and they were
not even filthy rich like all the political big wigs.  You know what I've
just found out? It was BObama, the sleazeball, and his Chicago campaign cohorts,
that went to court to open the sealed divorce papers of his Republican opponent
Jack Ryan.  How about tit for tat?  We Republicans should dig very
deep and look at the details of his and Michelle's sweetheart deal about their
southside of Chicago million dollar mansion with the slumlord from Wilmette,
Tony Resko and his realtor wife.

I was too fancy-free then to pay attention about
the terror William Ayre's Weather Underground and Bernadette Dorn.  All I
remember is they were always in the news and front pages of newspapers
with Angela Davies, the Black Liberation Army, Patricia Hearst among others,
because of bombing, kidnapping, killing and creating chaos here and there,
something like that.  How they got away scot-free of prosecution by the
government I don't know.  These are BObama's buddy-buddies.  Yes
siree!

Really and truly, what America need, in my opinion, is
the phoenix from Arizona - John McCain.  If President George W. Bush is the
great Defender of Democracy in the world, the next President John McCain is the
great Surger of US victory in Iraq.  And he will do so in Afghanistan
and the promise to catch Osama bin Laden, dead or alive, including his
turban [Frankly, I think, the dude is dead!]  Osama is always texting me on
YouTube what a dumb ass hillbilly McCain is.  Giggles.

The Republicans at their convention should be
predictable like the Democrats:

I heard the DNC is bringing out same old, same
old mantra -- the homeless of the Clinton 90s, oh the poor real estate
housing victims, Hollywood celebrats and the ubiquitous Oprah, and this is for
the bleeding heart liberals, I bet the usual reincarnation of the likes of
Michael J. Fox.  I don't think Obama's "Christian" religious advisor
Reverend Jeremiah Wright the Baptizer of his 2 kids will be there; no Islamic
women sitting in front, either.

How about the RNC?  If I were a bleeding heart
Republican, I'd bring out some of the war heroes with tremendous fanfare who
sacrificed limbs, blood, sweat and tears and be PROUD of them for
keeping freedom alive and ever burning in the heart of citizens of the
world.  Yes ma'am, especially gather the soldiers in wheelchairs, tearing
up, thanking them with great sorrow.  [You know, it's good this
website is secure and what I'm blabbing is just between you and me.
Republicans should keep on attacking on leadership, winning in Iraq and
Afghanistan, patriotism, lower taxes, economy and social issues. Keep on
grinding with ads until election day]  As a half-Fulbright scholar of
American politics, I have always observed Republicans are innately
namby-pamby Conservatives and have a higher standard of political etiquette than
liberal Democrats who are aggressive mud throwers and bullies, thereby,
people tend to give the Dems a free pass.

Constant grinding can turn an iron
rod into a needle. *Chinese saying

Hoy, if McCain will pick the handsome and crazy perfect
veep Mitt Romney, the whole ObamaNation WILL BE UTAHNIZED!  Dead.
Kaput.  Bye the bye!

So be it!

I made for lunch my own recipe spaghetti with
ground pork and pieces of hotdogs, Filipino style.  It's so crazy
yummy.  Just al dente and not too much tomato sauce with more sprinkle of
parmesan cheese.  It's good with Coke!

Our Lady of Fatima Vicki

Lab Tech Vicky, ALT Veep, is having an Our Lady of Fatima prayer at her place in Skokie.  The ever miraculous Our Lady of Fatima visits her home every year and stays there for a week.

The Our Lady of Fatima is leaving Vicky's home Saturday, July 19, after a week of stay, but will be back next year.  As always, she's giving a blessed send-off, the guests singing and praying with adoration, and a big, big thank you party for Our Lady, starting at 3:00 P.M.
For the food party menu for the hungry faithful followers of the Fatima, Vicky told me she ordered a big lechon (roast suckling pig) worth $200.  I told her not to remove my favorite crispy skin with pork fat.

Hi Culture Club Members!

As far as I remember, all that we got in our CAP unknowns are Mycobacterium

Tagalog na Tunay.

Gotta learn true Filipino (Tagalog) words!

Tagalog
Na Tunay

    A young,
good-looking representative from Laguna sponsored a bill recommending Filipino
language be used in all levels of accounting firms and banking institutions. The
solon claimed it will provide a better understanding of the business
transactions for those who are inexperienced and non-English speaking
citizens.
    The bill
received unanimous approval from the House and was presented to the President
for signature to become the law of the land. But in spite of the overwhelming
pressure from the members of Congress, President Gloria Arroyo vetoed the
bill.

Why? She found out that when the English 'business' words are translated in
Tagalog, they sound very malicious and are 'nakaka-hiya at
nakaka-kilabot!'

Here are a few sample words - English to Tagalog

Asset - Ari
Fixed Asset - Nakatirik na
ari

Liquid Asset - Basang
ari

Solid Asset - Matigas na ari
Owned Asset - Sariling
pag-aari

Other Asset - Ari ng
iba

False Asset -
Ari-ari-an

Miscellaneous Asset -
Iba-ibang klaseng ari

Asset Write off - Pinutol na
pagaari

Depreciation of Asset - Laspag
na pag-aari

Fully Depreciated Asset -
Laspag na laspag na pag-aari

Earning asset - Tumutubong
pag-aari

Working Asset - Ganado pa ang
ari

Non-earning Asset - Baldado na
ang ari

Erroneous Entry - Mali ang
pagkaka-pasok

Double Entry - Dalawang beses
ipinasok

Multiple Entry - Labas pasok
nang labas pasok

Correcting Entry - Itinama ang
pagpasok

Reversing Entry - Baligtad ang
pagkakapasok

Dead Asset - Patay na ang
ARI

Joke of the Week Golden Phone

JOKE OF
THE WEEK

GOLDEN
PHONE IN CHURCHES

A man in Topeka , Kansas decided to write a book  about
churches around the world.

He started by flying to San Francisco and
started working east  from there.

Going to a very large church, he
began taking photographs and making notes.

 He spotted a golden
telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign,

which read "Calls: $10,000 a
minute"

Seeking out the pastor he asked
about the phone and the sign.

The pastor answered that this
golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to

heaven and if he pays the price he
can talk directly to GOD.

The man thanked the pastor and
continued on his way.

As he continued to visit churches
in Paris , France Cairo , Egypt , Hong Kong in China , and around the World ,

he found more phones, with the
same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in
Philippines, upon entering
a church ln Manila,
Philippines
,

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin
Mary Catholic Church, behold - he saw the usual golden telephone.

But THIS time, the sign read
"Calls: 35 cents."

Fascinated, he asked to talk to
the Priest, "Father Ricardo Baumberger,

I have been in cities all across
the world and in each church I have found this golden telephone

and have been told it is a direct
line to Heaven and that I could talk to GOD, but in the other churches the
cost was $10,000 a minute.

Your sign reads only 35 cents a
call. Why?"

I love this
part.....

The priest, smiling benignly,
replied,

"Son, you're in the
Philippines now ......

You're in God's Country, It's a
local call."

in
Him,

YouTube - Filipino Youth Dancers of Chicago

Hi....I'd like you to watch this video I just created.  Our Filipino
teens, all American born and bred, are just fabulous with their folk
dancing.  The music theme is my favorite folk song Paru-Parung Bukid
(Field of Butterflies), performed by the Philippine
Rondalla of Chicago.  Enjoy!
