My neighbor's car with the windshield wipers up to prevent from being frozen. Good idea! I did the same thing with my Chevy Impala but not able to because the hood is over the windshield wipers. Too bad!

Maze: Weddings

Sometime ago, an online friend asked why there is no deadline in a "Marriage Contract?" Since my parents just eloped and was married by a Justice of the Peace, I really don't have any explanation. I'll check the website of the lady genius Marilyn vos Savant if one of her fans asked the question.

"A marriage often unites for life two people who scarcely know each other."

- Honore de Balzac

Here are the best weddings I've been invited in the past decade:

Update: The marriages are going strong and happy. Indeed, they have found the person perfect for each other. Ain't that wonderful?

" When a love relationship is at its height there is no room left for any interest in the environment; a pair of lovers are sufficient to themselves.

- Sigmund Freud

Do You Believe in Angels?

We do not have to be alone...
We need not suffer pain.
Our angels come to comfort us
Time... and time... again.
- Patience Allison Hartbauer

Angels have kept watch over mankind since the beginning of time. Guardian spirits are honored in the monuments of the ancient Babylonians and Assyrians, common in Greek philosophy, and serve as God's messengers throughout the Old and New Testaments.
"For he hath given his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
- Psalm 91:11
Many believe that each of us has a Guardian Angel to protect and guide us. Some suggest that our Guardian Angels are willing to communicate with us, but that most of the time we are just too busy to listen. If we are attentive and open to this communication, we can receive messages that can help us in our daily lives. We can also ask for angelic assistance by concentrating and calling them mentally.

YOU ARE NUMBER ONE!

Foreign Born Political Observer (FBPO)

FOREIGN BORN POLTICAL OBSERVER

I don't understand why someone in the internet would tag me a Democrat when I AM NOT! My dear friends out there you know it was the exact opposite. That I consider myself a die-hard Republican down to the bone. Whosoever put it there is being a fool. I hope it would be deleted by that person.

I don't like ( for lack of a better word) the Democrats. More now more than ever. The reason? The tragedy in Tucson that happened last Saturday, January 8, 2011. The Democrats, liberal pundits, their sympathizers and bias mainstream media "never miss an opportunity to never miss an opportunity", quoting the words of Israeli diplomat Abba Eban -- with a twist. I am just so disgusted because there's no rhyme nor reason to blame Sarah Palin, Tea Party (I might have heard from the wrong person but I think the father of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords blamed the party in an interview? I apologize in advance if I was wrong) and talk radio. Include the recorded voice of the sheriff of Tucson. What a character! I thank my lucky star I did not meet him while driving through his town. I wholeheartedly concur with all the outspoken defenders of the unjust and unfair condemnation of these people. Each and every of their words and opinions are my sentiments exactly. Just exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks for pointing and counterpointing that none was so much maligned and so venomously attacked by the Democrats, political and otherwise, in my adult lifetime, than former President George W. Bush. They were salivating with glee while the toxic rhetorics were going on and at the same time, their silence of agreement was so defeaning. Up to this day, this very moment, we are reminded of their humiliating videos of Bush on YouTube and in the liberal blogosphere. In contrast, the Republicans/Conservatives are more civilized and honorable decent people. Take for instance, the talk show host Rush Limbaugh: I have been a regular listener in Chicago for more than 20 years http://www.wlsam.com/ http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/ and myself as my witness, I never heard him say the F and N words. The program is very informative, exposing the vices and virtues of those in political circus. And yet, and yet, the liberal pundits are constantly demonizing him in the same medium, twisting the facts. The broadcast hall of famer's popular program of 20 million listeners daily (I'm one of them) is nothing but a totally supreme excellence in broadcasting.

Right on, right on!

Video message from President and Mrs. Bush

MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE PRESIDENT

George W. Bush's 2000 presidential election victory marked just the second time a son had joined his father, George H.W. Bush, among the ranks of American Presidency, following the tandem of John Adams and John Quincy Adams.  President Bush aggressively met the terrorist attacks of 9/11, keeping America safe for the duration of his two terms, and his $1.35 trillion tax cut led to economic prosperity for millions of Americans and 4.9 % job unemployment, the lowest in the history of the nation.  Let's be all happy for the extension of the Bush tax cut that was so vilified by the current Democratic administration.

Maze: Lib's Deepest Roots

GENEALOGY

Who me? Sure, like all humankind, my deepest roots can be traced to Adam and Eve if you believe in divine creation like I do. I don't care if you don't. You have a right to your own opinion but don't have a right to your facts.

PERSONAL FACTS

I, self, have a right to both my opinion and facts because I say so. Self is totally impure blood, of pre-mixed race.

Maternal: Filipino, Malayan, Chinese, Russian

There is a family connection during the time of Ivan IV, The Terrible (1530-1584), the first Russian czar. Ivan was cruel and even killed his son with his own bloody hands. He continued the policies of his grandfather, Ivan III, of reducing nobles, ministers, merchants, and farmers to lowly groveling servants --the administrative system of Oprichnina, meaning subject to czar alone. His secret police spread terror throughout the country which expanded to Siberia and the region along the Volga River. He made Moscow the capital of Russia. The way of life became so unbearable and so intolerable for some Russians, including my old, old, old, old, old dead folks that they escaped and emigrated by boat and got as far as the northern part of the Philippines. To his credit, Czar Ivan The Terrible began diplomatic relations and trade with Western Powers and invited experts from other countries to improve local businesses and polish Russian military techniques. However, with all that outstanding accomplishment, his next of kin, Ivan V, wanted one change - changing his name to Peter I, The Great.

Paternal: Portugal, Spain, Bolivia

There long ago in the 7th century lives a Saint in the family ancestry - the Bishop of Tarazona in Spain.

 Other most notable bearers are:

Aurelius Prudentius Clemens (348-413?), a Roman Christian poet and lawyer. He was born in the province of Tarraconensis (now northern Spain) and towns of Caesaraugusto Saragossa, Tarraco Tarragona, or Calagurris Calahorra. He also served in the court under Emperor Theodosius I. His most famous allegorical poem is Psychomachia, a Greek word meaning a struggle or fight for life, conflict within one's soul. Other medieval scholars and Oxford University reviewers define it as a tortured struggle between vice and virtue. One reviewer of the his work asked, "Do you actually see the angel on your right shoulder and the devil on your left?" I must say yes, I don't only see it but feel it always.

Quote from Psychomachia: "Even in our bones, our double nature sounds."

Luxury in Psychomachia

His other great works among others:

Apotheosis - (Deification) - attacks the disclaimer of the Holy Trinity and divinity of Jesus.
Liber Cathemerinom - (Book in Accordance with the Hours) - comprises 12 lyric poems on various times of the day and on church festivals.
Liber Peristephanon - (Crowns of Martyrdom) - contains 14 lyric poems on Spanish and Roman martyrs.
Dittochaeon -- (The Double Testament) - contains 49 quatrains intended as captions for the murals of a basilica in Rome.

Other Past Distinguished Relatives:

Juan (1610-1657) - a Spanish writer and theologian
Fermin (? -1870 ) - a Bolivian lawyer and politician
Meliton (1887 -1959) - a Filipino mestizo and provincial treasurer
