Take Pride in America Firestone Poem

AMERICAN AUTO CONSUMERS hardly see or don't see at all in TV ads these proud words:
TAKE PRIDE IN AMERICA
This is what's wrong with Americans - they don't buy goods MADE IN AMERICA.  They buy goods MADE IN THE WORLD! Well, let me tell you something!  I bought a Lincoln-Mercury in 1986, 0 % interest.  It did not give me any trouble at all, no major repair, just change oil and just handwash it twice a year.  Really!  The old car is 22 years old now, odometer of 80,000 miles, beyond its prime but still zoom-zooming.  It's so old my big bro took pity on me and gave me for Christmas a Chevy Impala.  I now have three cars!!!
Here's a poem dedicated to this American Driver, sent with flying kiss   from cargiver Firestone (expensive but excellent cargiver to sick cars):

It was love at first drive,
And I knew right away,
When you pointed at Firestone Complete Auto Care
And I heard you say:
"When you are all mine,
I'll take you there
To keep you running strong
Through maintenance, tires and repairs."
I thought you were lying,
I'll be the first to admit.
You just didn't look like the type
That was ready to commit.
I opened my headlights
And I knew I was wrong.
In your loving hands
Is where my keys belong.
You kept your promise
And to show my appreciation,
I'll try to drink less
When we're at the gas station.
Love,
Your 1986
My folks in Texas bought a new car, another Chevy Impala.  ALT analyst Marilou, hello Marilou! would ONLY buy American --no Made in China or Taiwan or Japan or India or Sri Lanka or wherever!
There's a saying by a Filipino lover boy driving to the home of his darling lady in America and in the Philippines:
"Walang matiagang dalaga sa nakaparadang Impala."
(A pretty lady would not be able to resist a parked Impala)

Hello Batchmates,  Ma'am Amor & Ma'am Lydia
Villamil:

I'm just popping in and then biglang mawawala just like
a soda pop.  Yeah, that's me, soda pop! I have to pop in to acknowledge and
answer to some stuff that need replying.  I'm  happy I'm already
halfway done with some of my saved projects.

Lydia of Love & Prayer.... I received yesterday, Groundhog Day
(February 2nd) your sweet thank you gift.  You really don't have
to bother.  Ikaw naman pinapataba mo 'ko .  Thank you for your
thoughtfulness and sweetness.  Giggles.

SkyGoddess....How's your Turquoise (Turkey)
getaway?  You know what, I did not even notice that eerie
thing  - I was busy doing the math with the wizard magic.  I took
a second look at the website and I saw what freaked you out!  It's the
"death note."  I don't blame you for freaking out in the middle of the
night.  Boooooo....Wow! Your attention to detail is very impressive.
You see, I don't pay much attention to detail having ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER
(ADD) and just being the GoC.   Congrats for passing your airline exam
with high colors (code orange probably equivalent to Homeland Security)....there
was no doubt about it at all.  Check in the next few days your mailbox for
the hard copy of Lydia's American Odyssey.  My
able courier and ALT PRO Mila is still in the Philippines.

Edgar of Toronto....You are not only a dreamer.
Your imagination is beyond imagination.  Say my cute hello to Amadeus -
your look-alike grandson.  DNA, my friend.

Ruby.....May our candidates win.  Above all, WE
ARE AMERICANS!

Tina the GoI (Goddess of Information)....I appreciate
very much in informing us about the confidential health report of Robert.
Being a microbiologist and at war with bugs for ages, I know those bugs can be
very persistent.  Hopefully, with prayer, Robert would recover fast and
furious.

Ever Beloved Ma'am Amor...What can I say?  You
are ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE!

Ever Beloved Ma'am Lydia Villamil.....If someday you
read this message - I give you the warmest WELCOME from the frozen tundra of
Chicago.  Cold hands, warm heart.

Last but not the least,  belated happy, happy
birthday to Nesie, Ruby and whoever is next....and that would be Lydia the GoD
(Goddess of Dance) - February 20.

Semper eadem (Ever the same)

Lib (GoC)
